Todd Blume

Owner / Brewer (“The Toddfather”)

It’s said great men are not born great, they grow great, and the Toddfather is no exception. From humble beginnings as an infant home-brewer toiling away at extract brews, through the mean streets of all-grain recipes, to the halls of microbreweries and brewpubs across the land, Blume never lost sight of his goal: to be the Toddfather of Craft Beer.

“Many young men started down a false path to their true destiny. Time and fortune usually set them aright,” and that applies here as well. After a false start drinking big company macros, one day he simply looked at the can he was holding, and said “You lived like a fool, and you have come to a fool’s end.” Maybe he was watching a movie when he said that, maybe not, but inspiration and need merged at the rivers by Paducah, and in the heart of an abandoned building downtown, the Toddfather planted seeds of change. With brewing in his soul, and the knowledge that nothing was more calming, more conducive to pure bliss, than a delicious craft brew, he created the family known as Beer Werks. Bringing in a crew of hard workers with a thirst for quality, and making offers of fantastic beer and food people can’t refuse, the Toddfather keeps giving more back to the world that made him.
